Top 10 Reasons to RUSH PHI SIG this Spring

PhiSig06

  1. Our girls are the most fun and vibrant by far. They're the most welcoming and friendly (everyone says so). And they truly care about each other in a way you don't often see these days!

  2. We're growing. But we're not so large you get lost in the crowd!

  3. We have the strongest alumnae base of any sorority on campus -- and are in contact with nearly 300 past sisters, many of whom have pledged to help us with our careers when the time comes.

  4. We're working to secure a house right off campus for the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 years. Best location, easiest commute!

  5. Our National organization gives $110,000 in scholarships to sisters every year. And we have advisors committed to helping us win some of those monies.

  6. We often have one of the highest combined GPAs of any Greek organization on campus -- proving academic excellence and fun can go together.

  7. Our advisors (yes, plural!) are truly committed to helping us succeed. They have direct ties to regional and national Phi Sigma Sigma leaders, and they help us understand the chapter's history in a way that makes it even more personally meaningful.

  8. We perform philanthropy and service projects that really matter -- and it helps us know we make a real difference in this community.

  9. We're preparing to celebrate our 20th year at Bloomsburg University in 2008. You can be a part of it!

  10. We are PHI SIG PROUD! Find out more about us on this site, or by e-mailing our Membership Recruitment Chair.

Lisa Cellini Romero named editor of The Sphinx

A BLAST FROM THE PAST! It's safe to say when Lisa Cellini Romero, founding president of the sorority and one of its advisors, got involved again with our chapter, she didn't expect to find herself named the new editor of The Sphinx magazine within two years.

But that's just what's happened this past month.

LRomero

Romero, who just accepted a position as Vice President of Communications and Business Development for a Las Vegas-based firm, has taken over editorial duties of the beloved international magazine on a volunteer basis. The newest issue of the magazine, a lifelong benefit all sisters are entitled to receive, will be published this Spring.

(It's exciting, but where does she find the time to do it all? That's the question everyone wants to know. The answer is simple: Sleep is overrated!)
