'Kickin' Back at Knoebels' Reunion - July 29, 2006!

NOTE: E-vites were sent May 18. If you haven't received one, contact us at Events@bloomphisig.com Thanks!

Knoebels

Mark your calendars! On July 29, Phi Sigma Sigma sisters and their families and friends are returning to Knoebels Park in Elysburg, PA, for a day-long reunion! (Our last reunion was two years ago.... An estimated 50 sisters and their families attended. What a great time! The kids loved it, too.)

PSSReunion
You're from Bloom, so you know the score: Knoebels amusement park is about as old-timey as you can get. You don't pay to enter the park; you use tear-off tickets (or a ride pass)! One of the rides is so old, it's run by a tractor motor. (Think we're kidding? It's one of the best, and scariest, rides ever!) But there's nothing like Knoebels, nestled as it is in the mountains -- especially the rollercoasters, rated among the best wooden-built rides in the world.

Basic info you need to know:

  1. For accommodations: The Bloomsburg Hampton Inn (same hotel as 2004, across from Denny's and the Inn at Turkey Hill), where 30 rooms have been blocked until July 15.

  2. We'll meet several times throughout the day, but the reunion will be scheduled so you can spend a lot of time with your guests enjoying the park, too!

Look for details to arrive by e-mail soon! Or, if you can't wait, write Events@bloomphisig.com for more information!

(Way to go! You earned it, girls!)
  • LAUREL POINTS, 3RD PLACE IN GREEK LIFE
(Out of nearly 27 organizations on campus!)
ALSO, one third of the chapter earned awards for high academic honors!
Individual Scholarship Awards went to:

ΦΣΣ named newest PRESIDENT of all-sorority council!

Congrats to our AMAZING sister

~ JUSTINE WALTER ~

BU's '06-'07 National Panhellenic Conference President!

Justine
Justine, who just finished leading a phenomenal year as Archon of Phi Sigma Sigma's Epsilon Zeta Chapter -- which nearly doubled its size in just seven months (!) -- will now lead a council of 12 sororities on campus.

(None of us -- including advisors -- actually knows how long it's been since a Phi Sig led NPC, let alone sat on the e-board. But we are sure of one thing: Justine will do us proud!)

Proving once again Phi Sig women know how to ASPIRE, ACT & ACHIEVE!

'Blockbuster' weekend of events! | April 22-23

Rockathon '05)
'05 Rock-a-thon: Last year's Phi Sig seniors raising funds during our annual Rock-a-thon, benefiting the National Kidney Foundation. ("We're cold! It's miserable! But we're having fun anyway!")
IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN, when Phi Sigma Sigma sisters will rock their hearts out for a good cause! "Block Party" of old may no longer exist, but the weekend of April 22-23 is sure to be festive:

  • ROCK-A-THON, on the sidewalk in front of the Bloomsburg Diner. Come support our girls, donate to save lives and join the fun, rain or shine! Rocking from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and then from 7-10 p.m., to raise funds for our national philanthropy, the National Kidney Foundation.

  • EXCLUSIVE TO PHI SIG! Benefit for Alex's Lemonade Stand at the Renaissance Jamboree!
Alex'sLemonadeStand This young girl's fight against pediatric cancer touched the lives of millions. Last year, Archon Justine Walter proposed this benefit to support the foundation that lives on now that Alex, who was from the greater Philadelphia area, has passed on.
