Phi Sig’s own Margie Naughton competes for Homecoming Queen the same fall term we become a chapter at Bloom. With her, TKE’s Dan Hebert. (At least that’s what our Founder’s scrapbook says.)

P.S. Yeah, that’s a tuba behind them. Stuck with the band, before or after
the parade, is my guess.

BFF Note: Founders and friends will recognize this as a classic Margie pose (for those of you among the Lemon Drops who’ve never met her!). Margie’s been my best friend for nearly 20 years, and  I have a lot of photos like this: Margie, looking away, guy X, Y or Z looking right at me. She’s been married  9+ years now.
But not to this guy.

SO THE QUESTION IS when hasn’t it rained, or threatened to
rain, on Homecoming weekend? Better luck this year.

There’s nothing like a newly founded chapter to bring out the spirit. The spirit of what, who knows? I probably know 10 founders who will kill us for posting this photo. So… starting at bottom, from left to right:
